If asked to define the most compelling form of self-expression, what would you say? Chances are, you’d agree—it’s style. For Mariam Kukhalashvili, content creator and fashion blogger, style is a direct reflection of her inner world and individuality. For years, she has been inspiring her growing audience with thoughtfully curated, aesthetically refined content.

In this exclusive interview with N13, Mariam shares insights into her everyday looks, her favorite designers and fashion houses, and reveals how she curates an elegant, elevated image. She discusses her personal fashion philosophy, what she prioritizes when dressing, and the pieces she can’t imagine her daily life without.

How would you describe your everyday style?
I don’t subscribe to a single, fixed aesthetic. My wardrobe choices are guided by the demands of my daily routine—I dress with purpose, tailoring my look to the tasks and schedule ahead. Comfort and confidence are non-negotiables for me. I truly believe style is a mirror of one’s inner self, and it plays a pivotal role in shaping one’s self-perception and confidence.

What inspired your journey into fashion blogging?
Honestly, it wasn’t a conscious or strategic decision. I’ve always enjoyed crafting tasteful, everyday looks—it’s something I’ve done intuitively for years. But over time, content creation emerged as a natural extension of that passion. The fact that I’ve become a recognized content creator is largely thanks to the people and circumstances that responded to my style and encouraged me to share it with a wider audience.

What color palettes do you gravitate toward, and which tones dominate your wardrobe?
My palette often shifts with the seasons, but there are always tones I return to for their comfort and ease. Soft pastels are a consistent favorite. Black is a cornerstone of my wardrobe—timeless, versatile, and always appropriate. I also lean toward beige, grey, and creamy neutrals. While I stay attuned to seasonal trends, I interpret them in ways that align with my aesthetic.

You work in marketing—how does that influence your personal style?
That’s true—I currently lead the marketing department at a prominent aesthetic clinic. In many ways, both of my professional paths are deeply connected to visual identity, which makes the process of dressing each day incredibly fulfilling. Because my role often involves meetings and public-facing events, my professional life inevitably informs how I present myself—maintaining a polished appearance has become an essential part of my day-to-day life.

Which fashion house resonates most with you, and why?
Saint Laurent feels incredibly aligned with my personal aesthetic—I often say their pieces seem as though they were designed specifically for me. The brand’s sharp silhouettes, strong-shouldered blazers, and effortlessly refined style—balanced with an edge—speak directly to both my sensibilities and personality. For that reason, Saint Laurent is my unequivocal favorite.

Is there someone whose style you find particularly inspiring?
It’s difficult to narrow it down to just one person. I find inspiration everywhere—in the outfit of a passerby, a film character, a moment, or a place. For me, anything that conveys taste and character can be a source of creative spark.

If you had to describe your style in three words, what would they be?
That’s a challenge… But if I had to, I’d say my style leans more bold than delicate. The word “edgy” often feels fitting. At the same time, people around me—including my followers—frequently describe my style as elegant. I think the interplay between those two qualities defines it best.

What’s your ideal daytime look—the one that makes you feel like your best self?
It really depends on the context, but above all, I need to feel great when I look in the mirror. My outfit must reflect both my mood and my state of mind. There are certain pieces that always elevate my confidence—for instance, an oversized blazer, which I consider a signature of my personal style. Lately, I’ve also embraced low-heeled shoes as part of my everyday look. They not only add comfort but also reinforce a sense of poise and polish.

Which designer do you feel most closely aligns with your aesthetic?
There are many whose work I admire, but as I mentioned, Saint Laurent and Anthony Vaccarello feel especially resonant. I also have great appreciation for Demna—I believe he has carved a distinctive narrative in fashion history. There was a time when Balenciaga’s aesthetic was a strong presence in my wardrobe. I deeply admire Simon Porte Jacquemus as well—his creative vision has profoundly shaped recent fashion trends. Among Georgian designers, I would highlight Aleksandre Akhalkatsishvili—his designs perfectly align with my personal taste.

What are the items you always carry in your bag?
I always have four essentials with me: a compact cardholder, sunglasses, my car keys, and lip gloss. These small items are non-negotiable parts of my daily life.

Which accessory could you never live without?
I’m very fond of jewelry—especially earrings—and I incorporate them regularly into my looks. But if I had to name the two accessories I truly can’t do without, it would be sunglasses and a handbag. Regardless of the day’s plans, those two always come with me.

If you could live in any era, which one would it be? Which period’s fashion speaks to you most?
The 1980s feel closest to my aesthetic. I’m drawn to the era’s freedom and fearless spirit. The retro sensibility of the time—oversized blazers, pronounced shoulders, bold accessories—captures something powerful about personal expression. For me, ‘80s fashion exemplifies individuality at its finest.

Lastly, what advice would you offer to readers who are just beginning to define their personal style?
Listen to your inner voice and follow your instincts. Create a look that is unmistakably yours—something that will leave a lasting impression. Stay informed about trends, but filter them through your own lens. I believe that the most memorable styles emerge when authenticity, intuition, and taste converge.
