Author, TV host, producer, and actress Olga Babluani is a distinctive, innovative voice in Georgia’s media landscape. Audiences know her for her unconventional cultural and educational author-led shows, Goodbye to Arms and Is It Time to Sleep?!. For years, guided by the professional motto “recognition through quality,” Olga served as editor-in-chief of 12 Magazine and OK! Georgia.

Alongside her acting career and roles in internationally recognized films, Olga’s ideas and projects have played an important role in shaping Georgian journalism. She is also the author, organizer, and moderator of educational conferences focused on art and education, Europe and literacy, and the promotion of vocational learning.
Today, her interests center on questions of identity, and she is developing projects in audiovisual formats. In the column “If I Could…”, Olga Babluani invites us into her rich inner world.

If I could…
…If I could, I would cancel death, erase it completely, and we would all live in endless life.
…If I could, I would travel to Hellenistic Greece – the era of Alexander the Great and the period after him. I want to understand the rise of human consciousness: how ideas and worldviews were forming, how people saw the world, and where they placed themselves in it.
…If I could, I would invite Adam and Eve to dinner and get to know them. I would love to hear their story “from the Father.”
…If I could, I would create a carefree world, where nothing exists except joy and love.
…If I could speak to my 20-year-old self, I would say: “Be strong and loyal. Stay spiritually bright and healthy.”
…If I could meet my 60-year-old self, I would ask questions – though she would probably answer without being asked, saying that she is still just as inspired by her children, her grandchildren, and by discovering something new. Each time, it feels like the beginning of a new journey.
…If I could return to the happiest moment of my life, it would be the moment I first saw my children, Likuna and Nastasia. Their eyes created a sense of a free, unbreakable future within me.

…If I could forget my most painful memory, I still wouldn’t. Pain heals on its own, but memory stays like a treasure. If it were otherwise, life would lose its meaning.
…If I could open the eyes of all women… only women? A creative being. I would show them their superpower: infinite inner and outer beauty, deep and mysterious wisdom, and the strength of sexuality. I won’t even mention men – awakened women would take care of that.
…If I could give advice to all mothers, I would say: “Give your children endless love and freedom.”
…If I could explain what it means to be human… the greatest minds in history have tried, and it seems we still don’t fully understand. From my perspective, a person feels whole only when they use their abilities to the maximum, can love deeply, and are capable of devotion.
…If I could explain love… sometimes action without words, even a look, is enough when you truly live for another person.
…If I could describe my life in one sentence, it would be: “Why can’t you catch the wave?”
