The Venice International Film Festival has officially opened, once again turning the Lido into a meeting point for cinema and high fashion. Every year, the festival’s red carpet is known for its elegant, modern and sometimes avant-garde style – and 2026 was no exception.

This year, several new films caught the attention of film lovers, including Martin McDonagh’s comedy Wild Horse Nine, Florian Zeller’s drama Bunker, and Maggie Gyllenhaal’s film about Marilyn Monroe, Flesh Impact.

Alongside the film premieres, the stars’ red-carpet looks naturally became one of the main talking points. Here are some of the most memorable and stylish looks from this year’s Venice Film Festival.

Irina Shayk arrived in a structured black look by Givenchy.

Ever Anderson chose a delicate and feminine silhouette by Dior.

Emma Corrin opted for Miu Miu for the occasion.

Amanda Seyfried also wore an elegant Miu Miu dress.

Phoebe Bridgers made a statement in a beautiful dress by Alexander McQueen.

Sydney Sweeney went vintage for the festival, wearing a dress from Giorgio Armani’s 2000 collection.
