Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week is the biggest fashion event in the Czech Republic. Since its beginnings in 2010, the event has come a long way – from street shows to runway presentations held in some of Prague’s historic buildings. In 2013, MBPFW officially joined the international Mercedes-Benz fashion week family, alongside cities such as New York, Berlin and Milan.

Known for its refined aesthetic and distinctive atmosphere, Prague Fashion Week attracts fashion industry professionals from around the world each year. Local and international media are also regular guests. This season, Nargis Magazine Georgia Editor-in-Chief Tako Chkheidze was among the attendees.
In today’s article, we take a look at the standout collections and designers that caught the attention of fashion lovers and critics at Prague Fashion Week.

Designer Hana Valtová presented a womenswear line inspired by research into historical clothing. Her work is defined by refined silhouettes, traditional craftsmanship and high-quality fabrics. This time, she brought elements of the Renaissance and dandy style into modern, everyday pieces.

After winning Mattoni Fashion Young Stars 2026, Barbora Kotěšovcová presented her debut collection, THE AFTERPOSE. The collection takes inspiration from the internet phenomenon The Backrooms. The designer translated the aesthetic of abandoned spaces into altered silhouettes and elongated shapes. Most of the pieces were made from deadstock textiles, while the looks were completed with headwear by TWIN–CHERRY and eyewear created in collaboration with Veronika Kotěšovcová.

Petra Balvin presented BALVIN couture, a line focused on made-to-order pieces. The collection stands out for its precise tailoring and high-quality materials, including wool, silk, faux leather and silk viscose. The brand also offers clients a wide choice of colours and textures.

JANA HOREJŠOVÁ (ON THE BOAT) presented Singularity, a collection inspired by the development of artificial intelligence and the risks of new technologies. Layering is at the heart of the collection. Following the principles of sustainable fashion, the pieces can be taken apart and combined with other designs, creating a flexible capsule wardrobe.
