What does spring mean to you? Most people would say renewal – and that makes sense, because the beauty of this season is all about change. For Tako Chkheidze, spring is a symbol of lightness and a fresh start – a time full of inspiration and positive energy. In this interview, the editor-in-chief of N13 shares her personal view, explains how she builds her spring wardrobe, and talks about finding the right balance between trends and personal style.

Spring is often linked to renewal – what inspires you the most during this season?

For me, spring is mainly about lightness and new beginnings. I get inspiration from nature – the changing colors, the light, and the special mood that comes with this season. It’s a time when I feel the need to simplify everything – my style, my thoughts, and my daily life.

People say trends are temporary, but style is forever – do you agree, and do you follow trends?

I completely agree. Trends can be a source of inspiration, but style is your identity. I look at trends carefully – I only take what fits my personal style and never lose my own line.

How can we balance looking good while still feeling comfortable?

It starts with well-chosen basics and quality fabrics. When clothes fit you well and feel comfortable, they naturally look elegant. Style should not feel forced – it should be a natural extension of your lifestyle.

What are the three key pieces in your spring wardrobe?

For me, spring is built around a few essential pieces: a well-cut light blazer, classic trousers or jeans, and a white shirt or a classic trench coat. These are the items you can build almost any look around.

Which color palette works best for spring-summer, and what do you prefer?

Soft, neutral tones are always relevant in spring – beige, cream, and white. I like to mix them with deeper accents, like chocolate brown, black, or red details. This creates a perfect balance between lightness and character.

Where can we find everyday style inspiration?

Inspiration is everywhere – in travel, architecture, art, films, and magazines. But the key is not to copy – it’s about interpretation. It’s about turning what you see into your own style.

Seasonal changes can affect our skin – what do you change in your routine?

In spring, I switch to lighter textures – less heaviness, more hydration and protection. I also add antioxidant products and SPF, as the skin becomes more sensitive to the sun.

Name three beauty essentials you always carry in your bag during spring-summer

I always have a hydration mist, a lip balm or my favorite lipstick, and sunscreen. They may seem simple, but they are essential throughout the day.

One piece of advice every woman should follow this season?

Don’t overdo it. Simplicity, cleanliness, and feeling like yourself – that’s the strongest style.
