Love often appears unexpectedly, without any plan or clear reason. Yet it is rare when a feeling grows in perfect balance with shared vision and work. This is exactly the case with Lashao Gabunia and Teona Metreveli. Their story proves that common interests and a creative mindset can form a strong bond- one that naturally draws attention.
Love and Creativity: An Ideal Tandem
The creative bond between Lashao and Teona was not planned in advance; it was a natural process that became the foundation not only of a brand, but of their relationship as well. The couple says it is difficult to define where everything truly began: “Both happened at the same time- at first, interest and attraction turned into shared work, and then into a deeper love.”
Shared work and daily communication allowed them to get to know each other more deeply. “Lashao is very goal-oriented and hardworking. I can’t think of anything he can’t do or succeed at. This is the quality I like most, value deeply, and feel proud of,” says Teona. Lashao, in turn, highlights Teona’s care and versatility: “Teona has many skills that truly surprised me. She is caring, hardworking, and reliable, yet at the same time very childlike and emotional.”

Core Values and Compromise
For the couple, family is the main priority, and this value creates a strong foundation where personal life and creative work serve one goal. “From this perspective, we can say that family is very important and a priority for both of us,” Lashao notes. To protect this priority, the couple believes compromise is essential. “Every relationship probably involves compromise. We always consider each other and often give up certain things. We think this is very important for building and strengthening a relationship,” Teona explains.

House of Jesus Star: Creative Process and Roles
Creating collections for House of Jesus Star is a fully collaborative process, where Lashao’s creative vision and Teona’s experience come together. “The concept of a collection starts with an emotion or an issue I am thinking about and feeling at that moment. We do research where the atmosphere, colors, and silhouettes of the collection take shape. The next stage is sketches and fittings. Often, the concept becomes deeper during the fitting process,” Lashao explains. He especially values Teona’s role: “I share everything with Teona because she gives very important advice. Besides being very talented, she has great experience in the field, which she constantly shares with me, and I am very grateful for that.”
Teona notes that roles are not strictly divided, although the final word belongs to the creative director: “We are both involved in the process, but since Lashao leads the creative direction of the brand, the final decision is his.”
Brand Aesthetic, Mission, and Vision
House of Jesus Star is not just clothing or simply a brand- it is a fashion house in constant motion that perfectly reflects the rhythm of Tbilisi. “We are part of this city and share its energy. At House of Jesus Star, there are always living, ongoing processes… Each client gives us a new direction, and this drives our development,” Lashao emphasizes.

In the working process, Teona is the more critical evaluator, but their harmonious relationship helps them grow personally. “Since the day we met, many things have changed in our lives. I think we learn a new lesson every day. Through each other’s presence and the decisions we make together, we have both grown a lot,” Teona says.
Individual Dreams and Mutual Support
Although Lashao and Teona are united by a shared creative vision, they place great importance on each other’s individual development. For the couple, personal goals and shared happiness are closely connected. “Our main mission is shared. Each other’s happiness- this is what our relationship is built on.”
